Την παρακάτω επιστολή στο INTERNATIONAL WATER MANAGEMENT INSTITUTE των ΗΝΩΜΕΝΩΝ ΕΘΝΩΝ έστειλε ο Δήμαρχος Σπάρτης Πέτρος Δούκας, για τη δημιουργία στη Σπάρτη μικρού πρότυπου κέντρου Μελετών και Εφαρμογών Διαχείρισης Υδάτινων Πόρων σε σύμπραξη με το Δήμο Σπάρτης και τη ΔΕΥΑ Σπάρτης!

«We would like to explore the opportunity with the UN-IWMI, to create in the great historic City of Sparta, jointly with the Municipal Sparta Water Management Company, a Water Management Research Center to explore and provide water management solutions for the whole of the Peloponnese region and to act as liaison to promote UN-IWMI policies and suggestions in the region!
